This role is uniquely structured for a dedicated technical expert; it does not requirepersonnel management, or day-to-day project management responsibilities. Instead, this critical positionfocuses on design, Quality Review (QR), and ensuring engineering precision across a variety of buildings andstructural systems. Reporting directly to the Structural Department Manager, you will serve as the final line ofdefense for engineering accuracy, safety, and compliance across a multi-market portfolio.Markets & Project Typesâ Federal / Department of Defense (DoD) Projectsâ Commercial & Retail Infrastructureâ Healthcare & Medical Facilitiesâ Justice, Institutional, and Correctional Infrastructureâ Education (K-12 & Higher Education)â Hospitality, Leisure, and Multi-Story Residential Developmentsâ Industrial Manufacturing & Warehousingâ Water / Wastewater Treatment and Processing InfrastructurePrimary Responsibilitiesâ Carry small to mid-size projects from inception to completion as the lead technical designer, and collaborateas a team player on larger design teams.â Be a key participant in the Quality Control / Quality Review process for structural calculations, drawings andengineering models.â Perform structural reviews of complex systems including mat foundations, deep foundations, two-wayconcrete slabs, composite floors, lateral load systems, and shear walls.â Ensure engineering designs comply with ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and TMS codes.â Review and redline construction documents (drawings, technical specifications).â Cross-verify model fidelity and detail drawings produced in Autodesk Revit and specialized analysissoftware (RAM, STAAD Pro, ETABS, RISA-3D).â Provide expert mentorship on technical code interpretation and design procedures directly to the designteam.â Conduct critical site visits to audit structural conditions and approve formal field observation reports.Requirementsâ Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.â Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of proven building structural design experience.â Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of Concrete, Structural Steel, Masonry, multi-story design.â Software Literacy: High familiarity with Revit and leading structural analysis programs (RAM, STAAD,ETABS, RISA).â Preferred Assets: Active Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) registration is highlydesired; Federal and/or Water/Wastewater background is a major plus.Benefitsâ Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Coverageâ 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Generous Company Matchâ Substantial Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidaysâ Professional Development Support and Continuing Education Reimbursementâ Performance-Based Bonus Programs and Career Advancement Pathwaysâ Flexible/Hybrid Work-From-Home Accommodations Available
