Department: RetailEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: US - Missouri - Saint LouisReporting To: Patrick MasseyDescriptionGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONFollowing the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading trucks, the delivery driver is responsible for delivering company products to customers in a safe timely fashion and load and unload vehicles at our facilities and customer locations.Key ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSafely operate a box truckLoad and unload material, both at the manufacturing location and customer locationsAbility to coordinate delivery details with the customerCheck load for accuracy before leaving for deliveryProperly maintain and track daily logs and related record keepingReport any issues or incidents to managementPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisorPosition QualificationsSkills Knowledge and ExpertiseSkills And AbilitiesMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have a clean driving recordMeet physical demands for medium to heavy workAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)Strong work ethicSelf-motivatedPunctual/dependable with great attendanceEducation And ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)1 year experience driving box truck (preferred)PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESWhile performing the functions of this job, the employee is: Continually required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Regularly required to sit or stand and to walk.
