Yard Specialist

At Clark Pacific, the Yard Specialist supports daily manufacturing operations across multiple functional areas while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. This role works hands-on in the manufacturing environment and may support areas including Production Lines, Maintenance, Loading, Kitting and Procurement, Woodshop, Batch Plant, Glass Division, Clark Metal Works (CMW) / PEP, and Facilities. This position is ideal for dependable, safety-minded individuals looking to grow within a manufacturing setting.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesExercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with team members, projects, and proprietary information.Follow established safety principles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and job hazard analyses (JHAs) for materials, equipment, and work areas.Complete required documentation and perform material handling duties including receiving, storage, disbursement, and delivery of materials, products, and equipment.Prepare and assemble materials for manufacturing according to drawings and work instructions, including mixing, cutting, bending, welding, gluing, and assembly. Materials may include concrete, sand, additive mixtures, wood, rebar, steel, windows, plastics, and related components.Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure debris, recyclables, and hazardous materials are properly managed and stored.Operate machinery and hand and power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, welding equipment, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools.Support general manufacturing and yard operations as needed.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, concrete, or a related field required.Experience working in a union environment preferred.High school diploma or GED preferred.Skills And AbilitiesStrong commitment to safety and quality.Ability to follow instructions, work plans, and blueprints.Dependable, team-oriented work ethic.Ability to perform physical tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Willingness to participate in required training and skill development.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork performed in manufacturing and outdoor environments with exposure to weather, noise, moving equipment, and machinery.Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, with assistance for heavier loads.Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, high-visibility vest, gloves, eye and hearing protection.Benefits (Union)Medical insurance options including WHA High Deductible Plan with HSA and Kaiser Traditional HMO, based on eligibilityEmployer contributions toward medical premiums and Health Savings Account (HSA), increasing with tenure and classificationDental insurance through Sun Life DentalVision insurance through VSPUnion pension and retirement benefitsPaid training and advancement opportunitiesStable, full-time union employment with overtime opportunities based on production needsBenefit eligibility and employer contributions vary based on length of service, classification, and union agreement.Interested?
