At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.Position SummaryThe IT Applications Intern will receive hands-on experience supporting a cloud-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and related custom applications. The intern will gain practical exposure to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), documenting requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting application configuration, supporting laboratory workflows, testing the application in an enterprise IT environment.Key Internship Info:Dates: Summer 2026 (May-August)Location: Mentor, OHWork Environment: HybridHours: Full-time for the duration of your internshipWhat You'll Do As An IT Applications InternAssist with monthly application change releases under the guidance of other team membersWork with onsite and offshore teams to implement changes required for the releaseExecute system and regression testing and document test resultsSupport development and configuration tasks for the LIMS and related applicationsAssist in documenting requirements, changes, and system updatesThe Experience, Skills And Abilities NeededRequired:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant major. Sophomore year requirements must be completed by program start (May 2026)Experience programming in .NET or JavaExperience with JavaScript, with exposure to vue.js or react.jsKnowledge of SQL or relational databasesPreferred:STEM exposure through projects or coursework (biology, biochemistry, life sciences, etc.)Other:Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsGood verbal and written communicationPay range for this opportunity is $20-25/hr.Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
