Regular shifts will be four days on, three days off, working 8-9 hour shifts or as required by the client. The role may require regular overtime, day, evening, and night driving, including occasional coverage of weekends and holidays.Job DescriptionThe Protective Security Specialist provides safe, discreet, and professional transportation while delivering unobtrusive, low-profile protective services to ensure the client's safety and well-being during daily activities, events, and travel. The role is on-site in and around New York City, NY, with occasional travel throughout the United States. Responsibilities include advance planning, route and site assessments, threat identification, proactive risk-mitigation, vehicle readiness and servicing, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesProvide a "white-glove" secure driving service as the personal driver for the client and guestsSafeguard Principal and guests from all forms of security and safety hazards, ensuring passenger safety during transit and activitiesCoordinate logistics and plan details relating to client or guest movements, including preparing for emergencies and contingenciesOperate vehicle safely and comfortablyDevelop and execute operation plans, route planning, and advance work, preparing routes in advance, including alternate routesConduct vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel levelIdentify threats and intervene along route when appropriateWork with home office staff and security teams to ensure a coordinated pick-up/drop-off routineIdentify, track, log, and coordinate vehicle fleet maintenance requirementsDevelop and implement internal processes and proceduresMaintain excellent rapport and open lines of communication regarding client needs, requests for support, service issues, and deliverablesProactively communicate with the client regarding identified delays or other route issuesPhysical DemandsRequires an appropriate level of physical fitness to perform physically demanding activitiesMay require walking for extended distances in various environmental conditionsMay require lifting and transporting heavy items for short distancesRequired Qualifications2+ years of equivalent or relevant security industry experienceOperational experience driving high-profile executives or high-net-worth passengersCurrent driver's license with flawless driving recordOperational experience in similar physical security rolesOperational experience with residential security teams, executive protection details, and/or high-profile corporate security teamsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsEmotional intelligence and a customer-focused approachSuccessful track record operating within a high-touch, customer service environmentAbility to adapt quickly to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategyAbility to remain calm under stressful conditionsHigh ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid New York Guard CardRed Cross CPR certificationPreferred QualificationsHR-218 LEOSA QualifiedNYC CCW/Armed Guard CardExperience providing executive protection and secure driving to high-net-worth client/family officesExperience providing protective services to families/young childrenDefensive Driving and/or Emergency Vehicle Operator Course certificationsExecutive Protection and/or Tactical trainingAdvanced medical training (EMT, WEMT, WFR, TCCC/TECC)Additional QualificationsThis role may require certain vaccinations for site access.
