Payroll Specialist We’re working with a well-established financial services firm seeking a Payroll specialist to step into a part-time contract. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on payroll execution and HR support for a close-knit team of around 50 employees. The position will begin in May, with full coverage required through January.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and process bi-weekly payroll for ~49 employees (currently using Paychex; ADP experience also applicable) Manage employee data, updates, and HR records with accuracy and discretion Support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and general employee queries Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and internal policies Act as a reliable HR presence for the office, maintaining professionalism and approachabilityCandidate Profile4–8 years of Payroll experiencePrior experience within a financial services environment is preferred Polished, professional, and able to operate in a visible, front-office-facing role Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a part-time structure Someone personable and easy to work with—this is a tight-knit team where fit matters Additional DetailsSchedule: 3 days per week Team Size: 49 employees Location: Midtown, Manhattan Duration: May start, running through January
