Assembly Technician
Job Description**What You Get To Do:**Serving under Production leadership, the Assembly Technician I provides hands-on technical expertise to properly assemble, fabricate, and manufacture linear lighting applications. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to comply with basic safety practices and procedures.We are looking to hire a Full-Time Assembly Technician. The core hours for this position will be Monday - Thursday, from 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM.Challenge Yourself – The Specifics Performs a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical assembly tasks Assembles, tests, and modifies prototypes or custom electronic parts and systems, including soldering wires Works from schematics, oral instructions, and existing documentation Follows established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect finished goods before they are shipped to the customer Compares the physical characteristics of products to technical specifications to identify defects; ensuring that the color of wires on the harnesses are recognized in order to solder to proper pads Ensures compliance with all safety regulations Conducts tests on electrical function, reliability, and packaging quality and record results Safely and effectively use and operate hand tools such as a soldering iron, heat gun, powered wire stripping machines and other equipment required for the completion of work orders Work with low voltage electricity Detect and correct quality problems found during the manufacturing process Organize, stock and issue supplies and equipment Use tact, initiative, prudence and independent judgment within general policy, procedural and safety guidelines Assists with order fulfillment by preparing and packing items for shipment May receive additional training to support fabrication activities as needed Establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with Elemental LED team members Performs additional duties as assignedQualifications**You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents and Mindset, Including Many of the Following:** High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience and training are typically required Minimum of one (1) year working in a manufacturing/distribution environment, quality assurance, assembly, testing or experience working in an environment using hands tools and equipment Ability to safely and effectively use and operate hand tools such as soldering iron, heat gun, power tools and other equipment required for work Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions Ability to detect and correct quality problems of LED lighting products Must have excellent attention to detail, be driven, work well independently and a knack for problem-solving Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel and reach to perform work for extended periods of timeAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.The Perks And Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D, Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance (100% PAID by employer), available first of the month, following the date of hire Company-matched 401(k) Plan, at 5%, no vesting schedule Paid Time Off (PTO) Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Three Paid Flexible Holiday per year Seven Paid Holidays Pre-Tax Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Career Development Plan Program Discounted Corporate Gym Membership at South Reno Athletic Club Tuition Assistance Employee Discount Monthly Birthday Lunch Celebrations On-site Snacks and Beverages Employee Referral Bonus ProgramAbout UsVisit us at www.elementalled.com or call 877-564-5051.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
