Criminal Justice Analyst
DataStaff, Inc is in need of a Criminal Justice Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in the Richmond, VA area.*The selected candidate will work onsite.Responsibilities:Perform complex criminal justice and/or law enforcement computer systems analysis.During system testing and post-implementation refinement, the incumbent will coordinate and document communications between project Team Leaders, System Interface Partners and Suppliers in accordance with the goals for each release and the project schedule.Perform analysis to help determine if Suppliers are delivering systems in accordance with documented requirements.Perform analysis to help determine if testing is occurring consistent with the project schedule.Perform Quality Assurance to ensure communications are consistent with established guidelines and project requirements.Develop and distribute management reports that describe the progress, problems and risks associated with system testing.Required Skills:5 years - Experience as a criminal justice and/or law enforcement analyst5 years - Strong organization, administrative, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills5 years - Self-motivated and able to develop rapport and positive working relationships with coworkers and the agency at large5 years - Proficient in Organizational Change Management5 years - Experience implementing cloud-hosted Software As A Service (SaaS)5 years - Understanding of business analysis concepts such as identifying and interpreting risk assessments5 years - Able to produce requirement related artifacts such as test cases, requirements traceability matrix, business rules, interface requirements, use cases,5 years - Able to produce requirement related artifacts such as activity diagrams, error validations and role based system profiles;5 years - Able to manage security access and user profile management5 years - Extensive knowledge of the Virginia criminal justice system and/or law enforcement is required.5 years - Extensive knowledge is computer systems is required, preferably computer systems used by criminal justice and/or law enforcement agencies.5 years - Experience as a business analyst is required. Excellent communications skills in English is required.5 years - Be able to identify how new applications and business processes will integrate with or replace existing business processes5 years - Have the ability to communicate with internal customers in nontechnical terms5 years - Be proficient with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint);5 years - And be proficient in creating business and system requirements5 years - Knowledge of criminal history record processing is preferred.Desired Skills: 5 years - Experience writing and reading system test plans is preferredThis opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
