ITS SpecialistApplications are now being accepted for the position ofITS Specialistin the Traffic Operations Department. This is a non-exempt position with a starting wage of $29.80 to $36.30 per hour/DOQ. Primary Responsibilities: The ITS Specialist performs technical oversight requiring considerable independent judgment in the application of a broad range of directives, policies, procedures and techniques associated with Intelligent Transportation Systems and related work. The ITS Specialist is responsible to build, operate, maintain, and repair Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) communications systems and equipment along with Ethernet networks. The ITS Specialist also installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs fiber optic communication networks.Qualifications: The successful candidate must have considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and testing related to data communications. Required to obtain an Idaho Class “B” CDL driver’s license within 90 days of hire.
