Westcoast Sales Rep- Remote position with Regional TravelBased out of San Diego, CA or Bay AreaRole OverviewSales Representative with 2–6 years of experience in medical device or diagnostic sales, with a strong focus on Medical consumables supporting the medical device industry.This role is equally focused on driving recurring consumables revenue, expanding CDMO partnerships, and enabling placement of diagnostic instrumentation. The ideal candidate can balance transactional volume (consumables) with strategic, long-cycle CDMO engagements across hospital laboratories, reference labs, and healthcare systems.Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth (Consumables & CDMO Focus)Drive high-volume, recurring consumables sales across existing and new accountsDevelop and grow CDMO partnerships, managing longer, consultative sales cyclesAlign consumables pull-through with instrumentation placements where applicableSolution SellingPosition integrated offerings across consumables, CDMO services, and diagnostic platformsSecure long-term agreements that drive both recurring and project-based revenueTechnical ConsultationsDeliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to pathologists, lab directors, and clinical staffTranslate complex capabilities into clinical, operational, and economic valueStrategic Account ManagementOwn the full sales cycle from prospecting through closeNavigate hospital procurement processes, including value analysis committeesKOL EngagementBuild relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and laboratory stakeholdersInfluence diagnostic protocols and vendor selectionMarket ExpansionIdentify opportunities for consumables growth, CDMO engagements, and new instrument placementsMonitor market trends and competitive activityQualificationsExperience: 2–6 years of success in medical device, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical sales (experience with consumables and/or CDMO strongly preferred)Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field (MBA a plus)Communication: Ability to sell both high-frequency consumables and complex, technical solutionsTechnical Skills: CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management and forecastingBenefitsCompetitive base salary ($100K–$150K)Commission structure to be defined (competitive and performance-based)Comprehensive healthcare and retirement benefitsEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
