Sales Manager
Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales department. This role combines leadership, strategy, and field engagement — overseeing our team of estimators, refining our sales process, and ensuring that every customer receives a five-star experience from first contact to final cleanup. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a background in service-based sales, and a results-driven mindset with a passion for local business growth.
Responsibilities
Lead, train, and motivate the sales/estimating team to meet and exceed monthly goals
Develop and implement a structured sales process and territory strategy
Manage incoming leads, assignments, and follow-ups through Jobber CRM or similar platforms
Conduct on-site estimates for residential, commercial, and municipal clients when needed
Build strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the job lifecycle
Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns with seasonal demand and service promotions
Track performance metrics (conversion rates, lead source ROI, average ticket value)
Monitor reviews and feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement
Support company growth initiatives, networking events, and community partnerships
Maintain up-to-date product and service knowledge to communicate value effectively
Ensure all estimates are accurate, clearly written, and delivered promptly
Requirements
3+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in tree care, landscaping, or home services
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals
Strong leadership and team-building abilities
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
Proficient with CRM systems (Jobber, HubSpot, or similar) and Google Workspace/Microsoft Office
Ability to read estimates, interpret scopes of work, and assess property/project needs
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Self-motivated, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Arboriculture or landscaping industry experience
ISA Certified Arborist or TCIA training (preferred, not required)
Familiarity with local advertising and customer acquisition strategies
