Manual Machinist

```Overview: We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating various machines and tools to fabricate or modify parts to precise specifications. Our full service machine shop requires a machinist with repair backround, often reestablishing dimensions after weld repairs. Our production machnining is only 25% of our work.This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. Duties: - Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, milling machines, HBM, radial drills, vertical turret lathes, etc - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications - Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, verniers, ID and OD micrometers to ensure accuracy - Perform basic math calculations to determine dimensions and tolerances - Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for each job - Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed - Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards Experience: - Proven experience as a Manual Machinist - Ability to machine standard, acme and metric threads; both ID and OD. - Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their use - Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings - Basic math skills for calculations and measurement -Previous experience in a repair shop -Minimum 5 years experience required Skills: - Proficiency in operating power tools and hand tools - Ability to assemble components using various techniques - Strong knowledge of basic math calculations -Must be able to work with limited supervision. - Proficiency in using calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-time; Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. Both scheduled and unscheduled overtime are required. May require weekend shifts and field travel.
