Type:3 months to 1 year contract with additional option years.Full Time or Part Time:Full-TimePay Rate:$18.00 – $28.00 per hour (negotiable).Location:TBD – OnsiteMust be willing to relocate anywhere in the USLanguage Requirements:Write, read, and speak EnglishLanguage Preferences:Bilingual (English/Spanish)Job OverviewWe are seeking dedicated Call Center Operators / Dispatchers to provide emergency communication services, including receiving, prioritizing, and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for fire, rescue, and other public safety services. This role ensures timely and accurate information flow between the public, field responders, and other departmental personnel. Operators will maintain records, operate communication and dispatch systems, and provide customer service under high-pressure conditions. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a security clearance and maintain it as required. Clearance level is to be determined. Performs other duties as assigned.Experience RequirementsMinimum of two (2) years of experience in emergency communications, dispatching, or call center operationsExperience operating multi-line phone systems, radio communication, and computer-aided dispatch systemsAbility to follow protocols for prioritizing and routing emergency and non-emergency callsStrong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively under stress and maintain composure during emergency situationsExperience PreferencesExperience in a municipal or county emergency dispatch centerKnowledge of fire, EMS, and law enforcement operationsFamiliarity with NFPA or APCO standards for emergency communicationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while operating communication systemsAbility to hear, speak, and type clearly under stressful conditionsAbility to perform multitasking duties with attention to detail and accuracyEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent recognized certificationEducation PreferencesEmergency Communications Certification or Dispatcher Training CertificationTraining Schedule:TBDSchedule:Varies based on operational needs; includes availability for nights, weekends, and holidaysDress Code:TBDBenefits:TBDAdditional Information:Drug screening, background, and reference checks are performed if required.
