Sr. CEI Inspector
What We're Looking ForBarge is seeking a CEI Senior Inspector to perform complex technical assignments including inspection of roadway and bridge construction activities; oversight of contractor daily operations; supervision and support of inspection staff; performing materials sampling and verification testing; plans reading and specification interpretation; field surveying and construction engineering computations. Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with contract documents, also directs and assigns specific tasks to team members as necessary throughout all phases of the construction project.ResponsibilitiesVerification of field surveying and project layoutPerform engineering computationsInspect construction workConduct field testsPrepare and submit Daily Work ReportsVerification of work completed and accurate use of pay itemsAssist management staff with progress estimates and final pay estimatesCoordinate and manage lower-level inspectorsEducation & Experience Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent 4 years of road and bridge construction engineering inspection experience FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) or can be obtained within 3 months of hire date Ideal Candidate Shall Possess The Following Qualifications/CertificationsCTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1 and 2CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1 and 2CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1 and 2CTQP Pile Driving InspectionCTQP Final Estimates Level 1Nuclear Radiation Safety FDOT Intermediate MOTWhy join us?
