As a CDL A or B Driver, duties include transporting goods on assigned routes in a commercial vehicle, making deliveries and pickups to and from school sites and warehouses, and communicating with the management team and dispatchers.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Safely operate a commercial vehicleLoad and unload cargoRead locations and road mapsPerform basic truck maintenanceInspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues before and after each tripMeet delivery schedules while maintaining safe work practicesProperly track and document driving logs on an ELDReport any issues or incidents to dispatchFollow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuriesPerform other duties as requestedFull Time & Part Time positions availableREQUIRED SKILLS: Previous experience in truck driving or other related fieldsValid Commercial Driver's License A or BAbility to handle physical workload; physically qualified to perform all duties of a driverAbility to work in all types of weather and environmentsStrong work ethicValid CDL, DOT Medical Certificate, and Motor Vehicle RecordTouch freight experience preferredMust be at least 21 years of ageMust pass a DOJ and criminal background checkAbility to speak and read English sufficiently to:Converse with the publicUnderstand traffic signs and signalsRespond to official questionsMake legible entries on reports and recordsEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:CDL A or B (Required)Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferredMust pass a driver's road test or equivalentOTHER DUTIES:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
