Position: 3PL Fulfillment Sales LeaderJob#: 0345Location: Greater Boston Area (MA)Position Description:Our client is a small package fulfillment 3PL with a primary warehouse in the Greater Boston area and two satellite warehouses in Chicago IL and Albany NY. The 3PL provides small package fulfillment, packaging, returns processing, and storage services. It seeks to hire a 3PL Fulfillment Sales Leader to generate new business for companies shipping small package commodities, such as apparel, supplements, electronics, and food (dry goods).This role requires a hunter mentality, strong consultative selling skills, and operational fluency in fulfillment solutions. Qualified candidates should have prior business-to-business sales experience, preferably in 3PL distribution service, demonstrating skills in targeting, lead generation, sales promotion and marketing, direct sales, pipeline and customer relationship management, solution and proposal development, pricing/ costing, and sales training and management. This role is remote but will require local and regional travel. Primary Responsibilities:Actively hunt, prospect, and close new 3PL customers for small package fulfillment services in key customer verticals, including Retail, CPG, Wellness, Food & Beverage, and Technological industries.Generate leads through outbound prospecting, referrals, site visits, and industry networking.Identify customer supply chain pain points and translate them into tailored logistics solutions.Own deal strategy, solutions development, pricing models, margin targets, and contract negotiations.Stay informed of and work to maximize utilization of facilities and labor assets.Develop and report on the sales pipeline required to meet the annual new business and client retention goals.Utilize a consultative selling approach to discover customer needs and develop 3PL solutions options.Collaborate with internal resources and directly manage the sales process, including lead generation and qualification, contact management, proposal development and RFP response, presentation and closing.Create and present professional, effective, and profitable customer proposals.Close sales and achieve company goals for revenue growth and margin expectations.Support new client launches and ensure smooth handoff into operations.Serve as the single accountable owner for assigned customers.Support marketing efforts to develop sales collateral and presentation materials and advertise across multiple channels, including company websites, tradeshows and conferences, industry influencers, digital and social media.Work effectively with internal and external resource teams to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction.Stay informed of industry news and trends and market opportunities.Provide company leadership with direct input on 3PL growth strategy and business development plans. Minimum Position Requirements:Must have a minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience with 3PL fulfillment services.Exceptional candidates will have demonstrated success in sales targeting, lead generation, sales promotion and marketing, direct sales, pipeline and customer relationship management.Exceptional candidates will have work experience with distribution solution design, pricing/ costing and proposal development, presentation and negotiation, and sales training and management.Demonstrated success in developing a strong network of key manufacturers, brands, and distributors.Working knowledge of WMS & TMS platforms and competency with Microsoft Office.A bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or a related field is preferred.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
