Production Control Manager

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems.We fabricate custom designed, purpose-built enclosures and skids for our customers and perform mechanical and electrical integration in-house, delivering a true turn-key product to our customers. Our scope spans Engineering, prototype builds, through full production, requiring teams that can move fast, adapt, and execute with precision.GTI Values: Safey I Quality I Customer Obsession I Speed I AgilityPosition OverviewThe Master Production Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule (MPS), ensuring alignment across customer demand, materials availability, production capacity, and shop-floor execution systems. This individual will own every detail of what GTI produces—across materials, labor, equipment, and timelines—while balancing efficiency, cost, and delivery commitments.This role requires a highly analytical, detail-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environments and has experience coordinating across engineering, procurement, supply chain, and plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaster Scheduling & Production PlanningDevelop, publish, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand and internal capacity constraintsTranslate sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets into actionable production schedulesSynchronize materials, labor, equipment, and MES/ERP data to support on-time delivery and minimize bottlenecksCoordinate with Engineering on new product introductions (NPI) to ensure seamless production ramp-upsCapacity & Resource PlanningConduct capacity analysis for labor, machines, and work centers across multiple production linesModel and forecast mid/long-term production requirements to support plant expansions or equipment investmentsAlign plant-level scheduling with broader supply chain, MES, and logistics strategiesMES & ERP IntegrationUtilize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to track real-time production data, machine utilization, and labor performanceIntegrate MES with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred, SAP/Oracle/JD Edwards acceptable) to maintain end-to-end visibility of orders, materials, and schedule executionEnsure schedule adherence by monitoring shop-floor performance through MES dashboards and reportsPartner with IT, engineering, and operations to configure MES workflows for new products and plant processesMaterials & Inventory AlignmentPartner with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure materials availability supports scheduled productionIdentify and resolve shortages, excesses, or disruptions by proactively re-prioritizing schedulesMaintain ERP and MES data integrity to support accurate planning and executionCross-Functional CollaborationServe as the central communication hub for production priorities—working closely with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Plant OperationsLead weekly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) or production review meetings to align all stakeholdersProvide visibility into schedule performance, risks, and opportunitiesPerformance & Continuous ImprovementTrack KPIs such as on-time delivery, production attainment, first-pass yield, inventory turns, and MES-driven efficiency metricsDrive schedule adherence and create mitigation plans for deviationsChampion Lean, Six Sigma, and MES-enabled continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and increase throughputRequirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field7+ years of experience in master scheduling, production planning, or supply chain in a high-volume manufacturing environmentStrong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred, SAP/Oracle/JD Edwards acceptable)Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to manage shop-floor executionSolid understanding of capacity planning, materials requirements planning, and production workflowsAdvanced Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, dashboards)Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skillsPreferred QualificationsAPICS CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) or CSCP certificationExperience integrating MES with ERP to improve real-time scheduling accuracyFamiliarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and compliance requirementsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints (TOC) principlesExperience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, or industrial fabricationBenefits & PerksGTI Energy offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support employees and their families while providing long-term career growth opportunities within a fast-growing manufacturing organization.
