Aftermarket Engineer II

OverviewReporting to the Supervisor, Aftermarket Services, the AMS Engineer provides highly technical support to an international client base. The AMS Engineer primarily executes customer requests for, commissioning, repair and trouble-shooting of rotating equipment.ResponsibilitiesWorks with customers to determine work scope, provide quotations, necessary parts and tool lists and other logistic considerations necessary to prepare for field service personnel’s workGenerates long-term corrections to CARsProvides technical support to various internal teamsMaintains an at-home office for activities in between service calls, if not posted at NCIPerforms pre-commissioning and commissioning activitiesPerforms highly skilled repair and troubleshooting activitiesProvides on-site training to customers to improve the customers’ ability to effectively operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipmentCompletes a Field Service report after providing site servicesQualificationsAbove average technical communication skillsExperience reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical and process prints and related technical documentationExperience in mechanical and hydraulic calculations and data reductionsAbility to discuss, diagnose and repair productsAbility to manage a global maintenance programAbility to work at customer sites with little direct supervisionAbility to work safely and effectively within OSHA, and job local lawsAbility to utilize common PC and Microsoft Office applicationsWork Environmental And Physical DemandsIn order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controlsOvertime may be necessary as the work load's dictates. This may include week days, weekends, nights and/or holidays, travel required up to 80%Job will generally be performed in an office/shop environment and generally requires travel to a Client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally applyAbility to lift up to 60 lbs.A valid driver’s license is required, and candidates may be required to show a clean driving abstract for travel between the NCI facility locations and client offices as requiredA valid passport, or the ability to obtain a valid passport, is requiredWillingness to work overtime, outside of regular business hours and regular working days, to meet customer needsAbility to perform effectively in high stress situationsCandidates cannot have issues with heights or confined spacesEnvironmental Safety RequirementsNew Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety AwarenessAll safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS DirectorJob specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basisUnderstanding and ability to safely work in a potentially explosive environmentEmployees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs include, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and dust masks.
