Noon Duty Supervisor
Basic FunctionUnder general supervision of the Principal, assist in the supervision, management, safety and well- being of students during lunch.Essential DutiesSupervises noon and recess play activities which are in progress in the yard or playground.Maintains firm but respectful and courteous attitude toward students in a consistent manner.Circulates around the assigned play area; acts at all times in accordance with rules, regulations, policies and philosophy of the school and the district.Attempts to prevent accidents and injury before they occur by recognizing conditions and situations likely to cause trouble; takes action to correct such conditions.Monitors and assists in clean up in the eating areas.Helps students to develop good habits of citizenship by insisting upon democratic behavior; encourages students to practice courtesy.Refers any requests for leaving the school grounds to the principal or assistant principal.Maintains confidentiality regarding student behavior.Other DutiesPerform related duties as assigned within classification.Knowledge And AbilitiesKNOWLEDGE OF:Safety rules and habits.Health regulations and safe working methods and proceduresDistrict policies, rules, and regulationsAbility ToWork well with children.Understand and follow oral and written directions.Establish and Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of workPatient, efficient, and adaptable to constant changeParenting skills.Education And ExperienceAny combination equivalent to: graduation from high school.First Aid and CPR desirableEnvironmentWORKING CONDITIONS:Outdoor and indoor environment.Physical DemandsWalking or Standing for extended periods of time.Hearing and speaking to exchange information.Position will often be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects between 10 to 50 pounds.
