***EDUCATION REQUIRED - HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED***ASSIGNMENT DURATION: 3 MONTHS (POTENTIALLY COULD CONVERT TO FULL-TIME - NOT GUARANTEED)SCHEDULE: DAY SHIFT - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM WITH OVERTIME BASED ON WORK DEMANDTOP REQUIRED SKILLS:- HIGH ATTENTION TO DETAIL- MUST BE GOOD WITH THEIR HANDS (MECHANICAL APTITUDE)- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING ON AN ASSEMBLY LINE PROCESS- ABILITY TO TROUBLESHOOT AND PROBLEM-SOLVEHIRING PROCESS: ALL INTERVIEWS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN-PERSON. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY TO START IF SELECTED.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assembles Coil assemblies and other electro/mechanical assemblies.- Prepares materials for production: cutting, cleaning, spot welding, heat shrinking, handles two-part potting material for molding, silicon adhesives, lubricants, and flammable chemicals.- Cross-trains using related duties for use in other production areas as needed.- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized working environment using 5S principles- Promotes and maintains single-piece production.- Supports and implements production improvement initiatives.- Keeps meticulously exact quality documentation (Work Orders, Travelers, Process Data, Test Results, etc.).- Responsible for quality control. Adjust as necessary to produce the product within specifications. Rejects product outside of specifications.- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs).- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- High school diploma or GED; specialized training in an industrial production setting.- 3 to 5 years of previous experience in single-piece flow assembly production lines.- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.- Basic Math Skills.- Basic Inspection Knowledge.- Experience using MS Office.- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems such as JDE, Oracle or similar in a production environment.- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.- Experience applying procedures for detailed documentation of work orders, travelers, process data, test results, etc.- Experience working with power tools, heating tools, and small machines (i.e., heat guns, soldering stations, spot welder stations, air compressor tools, ovens, electrical test equipment, etc.).- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds required. Assembly personnel must be able to clearly recognize a Text Height of .0540 on blueprints and work instructions.- Assembly personnel must be able to recognize all colors within the visible spectrum to recognize various wiring and labeling specificationsBEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS:- Excellence- Team Oriented- Integrity- Respectful- Hardworking- DependableWORKING CONDITIONS:- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.- Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 40 pounds.- Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hard hats.- Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.- Standing 65% of the time- Some Overtime needed- Works under immediate supervision.
