Job SummaryA Home Health Aide (HHA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to individuals in their homes or residential settings. The HHA supports clients with daily living activities, promotes independence, and ensures a safe and comfortable environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toiletingProvide mobility support, including transferring and ambulationAssist with meal preparation and feeding if neededPerform light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organizing)Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisor or nurseRemind clients to take medications (as permitted by state guidelines)Provide companionship and emotional supportMaintain accurate documentation of care providedFollow care plans and agency policiesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredValid HHA certification (if required by state)CPR/First Aid certification preferredPrevious caregiving experience is a plusAbility to pass background check and drug screeningReliable transportation and valid driver's licenseSkills & CompetenciesCompassionate and patient demeanorStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow instructions and care plansDependable and trustworthyBasic problem-solving skillsWorking ConditionsWork is performed in clients' homesMay require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periodsFlexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
