Associate Attorney - Insurance Coverage Defense

Employer Industry: Insurance Coverage Practice Why consider this job opportunity Salary range of $85,000–$120,000 Supportive culture with flexible remote or hybrid work options Emphasis on long-term relationships within a collaborative environment Opportunity for career advancement in a fast-paced legal setting Commitment to meeting a 1,950-hour annual billable requirement What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) Evaluate insurance policies and assess risks while effectively communicating legal standards to clients Conduct extensive legal research and draft coverage opinions, briefs, memos, and pleadings Represent insurer clients in court and during depositions Collaborate closely with partners and clients to provide timely coverage advice Manage deadlines and assignments independently with a high level of ownership What is Required (Qualifications) Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school Active license to practice law in Oregon and/or Washington; additional bar admissions in Idaho or Montana are a plus Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurer or policyholder coverage practice Experience with depositions and mediations; extended coverage opinion experience is a plus Strong client-relations and communication skills How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Significant familiarity with various insurance policies and coverage determinations Experience in coverage litigation, including depositions Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships InsuranceCoverage #LegalCareers #RemoteWork #CareerGrowth #JDRequired We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
