Senior Assembly & Test Technician
Position
The Senior Assembly & Test Technician's primary responsibility will be assembly and testing of our handheld Field Forensics products. Daily tasks will include producing and evaluating our MX908, ProtectIR, ExplorIR, VipIR and ThreatID products, following defined procedures and work instructions. In addition, some documentation, data entry and preparation of test and quality reports will be required. The position will also require some visual inspection and quality assurance sampling measurements. The Senior Assembly & Test Technician will work with the Manufacturing Engineering team to troubleshoot production issues and assist in continuous improvement of assembly and test processes.
The ideal candidate is able to demonstrate or produce evidence of having worked on fully integrated opto-mechanical systems. Examples would be mammography machines, FTIR or Mass Spec instrumentation. Evidence of troubleshooting instrumentations is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Assemble and test 908 Devices handheld products
Produce and evaluate 908 Devices MX908, ProtectIR, ExplorIR and ThreatID products
Follow defined procedures and work instructions
Documentation, data entry and preparation of test reports
Partner with the Manufacturing Engineering team to troubleshoot production issues and assist in continuous improvement of assembly and test processes
Visual inspection and quality assurance sampling.
Minimum Skills & Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in manufacturing test environment
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and multi-task
Organized with strong attention to detail.
Experience using basic lab equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, stereomicroscopes, torque tools, pin gauges, etc.
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
Computer literate, comfortable with electronic documentation
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Education Level: Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or similar preferred
Experience with fully integrated opto-mechanical systems strongly preferred
Additional Information
Location: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week onsite at our Danbury, CT facility
Compensation: The annualized base pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $24.00 and $26.00 per hour; the base pay offered may vary depending on several individualized factors, including market location, job-related skills, and experience. This position may also be eligible to receive additional compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives.
