The Human Resources Administrator plays a key role in supporting core HR functions, with a primary focus on managing employee cannabis licensing requirements in the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing all administrative aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining accurate and compliant personnel records, and administering the Form I-9 verification process in accordance with federal guidelines.In addition, this role provides essential administrative support to the Human Resources department and contributes to a variety of HR initiatives and responsibilities that enhance operational efficiency and employee experience. The Human Resources Administrator reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Human Resources and collaborates closely with cross-functional HR team members.Primary Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:Oversee employee cannabis licensing requirements and renewals in alignment with state regulations in Connecticut and Massachusetts, ensuring ongoing compliancePrepare and distribute offer letters and facilitate background check processes for new hires and applicable annual renewals, ensuring a smooth and timely hiring experienceExecute onboarding processes, including accurate entry of new hires into the HRIS, company intranet, and Learning Management System (LMS), while ensuring full compliance with Form I-9 requirementsAdminister and monitor required employee trainings and certifications via Traliant, ensuring completion and timely follow-upSupport employment verification requests with professionalism, accuracy, and confidentialityMaintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulationsProvide general administrative support to the HR team, including job requisitions, applicant tracking activities, documentation and tracking of employee volunteer initiatives, and some responsibilities within the employee offboarding processHandle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion and professionalismSkills and Qualifications:High school diploma2+ years of Human Resources experience, with a focus on pre-employment documentation, onboarding, and offboarding processesExperience working with HRIS, ATS, or other HR systems (e.g., onboarding platforms, document management systems) is valuableProactive and responsive approach, with the ability to deliver timely, high-quality administrative supportWorking knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, including Form I-9 compliance is preferredStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentExceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standardsStrong data entry and recordkeeping skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and audit readinessHigh level of integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with careEffective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across teamsProficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets and Gmail, with the ability to effectively manage data, communication, and collaboration toolsSelf-motivated and results-driven, able to work independently while also collaborating with the HR team and seeking guidance when neededAbility to pass a Federal Background Check with no felony convictionsWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:Normal office environmentMay be exposed to extreme temperaturesMust be able to sit for long periods of timeMust be able to lift 50 pounds without assistanceFrequent bending and moving from sitting to standing and reverseBenefits:Competitive pay with opportunities for growth, development, and advancement.Paid time off, including holidays and sick days.401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Employer Matching Contributions.Generous Employee Discount.A collaborative and supportive work environment at a growing company.Americans With Disabilities Statement:Must be able to perform all essential functions of this position with reasonable accommodation.
