Mechanical Design Engineer – Stainless Steel Vessels (Spokane Valley)

ResponsibilitiesDesign stainless‐steel vessels, fixtures, and support products, creating accurate 3D models, prototypes, and engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, quotes, work instructions, and reportsLead and participate in interactive design reviews, apply Design for Manufacturability principles, identify critical inspection dimensions, and implement engineering changes with proper dispositionSupport prototype builds, testing, and product validation while contributing to cost‐reduction efforts and understanding the cost impact of new designsCollaborate cross‐functionally with fabrication, supply chain, sales, and other departments to streamline product development, resolve issues quickly, and maintain strong working relationshipsAssist supply chain and suppliers with component selection, specifications, lead times, and capability assessments to ensure efficient production and material availabilityContribute to new product brainstorming, process improvements, and customer‐focused service, with occasional travel as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of mechanical design experience and proficiency in solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred)Hands‐on experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and applying engineering principles to real‐world designsStrong understanding of heat transfer, materials, and mechanical systems, with familiarity in relevant industry codes such as UL 142, ASME BPV, API 650, and AWS D18.3Skilled in creating accurate engineering documentation and managing projects from concept through completionStrong organizational and communication abilities, with the capacity to work independently and support cross‐functional engineering effortsOpen to occasional travelAsk for: Aarti ManchandaSalary: $75k - $95kAjulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical.
