Our mission is to empower those we serve to lead meaningful, independent lives in a supportive and nurturing environment.Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Speech Therapist to support individuals with developmental disabilities. This role focuses on improving communication, language, and functional speech skills through individualized treatment plans. Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices is preferred.Schedule & FlexibilityPart-time, flexible schedulingSessions range from 30 minutes to 1 hourServices typically provided 1–2 times per week per individualFrequency and format (in-person, remote, or hybrid) depend on individual needs and goalsKey ResponsibilitiesAssess individuals' communication, speech, and language abilities and develop personalized therapy plansImplement evidence-based interventions to improve speech, language, articulation, and social communication skillsSupport the use of AAC devices when appropriate and train individuals and caregivers on effective useCollaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team membersMonitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve goalsEducate caregivers and staff on strategies to support communication at home and in community settingsQualificationsMaster's degree in Speech-Language PathologyActive New Jersey SLP licenseKnowledge of AAC devices preferredExperience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferredStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyWork EnvironmentServices are provided in community-based settings, including group homes, day programs, private residences, and virtually (remote or hybrid) depending on the participant's needs.Why Join Us?Flexible, customizable scheduleMeaningful, client-centered workSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to make a lasting impact in the community
