Drafting & CNC Programming Intern
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated intern to join our shop and design team. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your drafting and woodworking coursework in a real custom cabinetry shop, working alongside experienced craftsmen and drafters to bring designs from concept to production. Our workshop is located in Carson, CA.
Duties
Create and edit drawings and shop drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp
Use Cabinet Vision to develop cabinet designs, cut lists, and production files
Help program and prepare files for our CNC machines
Assist with drafting, woodworking, and general shop and design tasks as needed
Learn how custom cabinetry moves from plans to finished product
Qualifications
Completion of — or current enrollment in — Cabinet Vision, drafting, and woodworking coursework (required)
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Cabinet Vision
Familiarity with CNC programming for woodworking
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable, hardworking, and a good team player
A plus (with added compensation): Hands-on cabinet making or woodworking experience is a strong plus and may be eligible for higher pay. We have a steady pipeline of work ahead — for the right candidate, this can lead to ongoing, long-term opportunity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world experience in custom cabinetry, drafting, and CNC manufacturing. We’re happy to work with school internship requirements. Start date: as soon as possible (flexible).
