Prepare and implement capital improvement projects and actively participate in the development of lean processes.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for specific sets of processes (more than one) i.e. PUR, foam, roll forming, steel stamping, machining, etc. Development of standard work instructions for assigned processes Develop and facilitate process improvements for assigned processes Work with quality and production to identify gaps between current process and standardized work and develop corrective actions to resolve Develop production process goals designed to meet sales and budgeted targets Complete process improvement projects designed to meet or exceed sales and budget goals Identify and resolve process and quality problems for assigned processesQualificationsSuccessful candidates will have:4-year engineering degree required5 or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferredLean Manufacturing experience requiredSix Sigma Black Belt and / or Green Belt experience requiredProject Management Professional preferredGD&T, APQP, and Product Design / Launch experience preferredMini Tab experience preferredExperience in SMC processing from formulations of mix to finished product preferredExperience with compression molding preferredExperience in steel stamping or processing preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTraining experience: leading and facilitatingAbility to work in a cross functional team environmentStrong ability to drive changeAdditional InformationFortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $60,000 USD - $99,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
