Your consultative approach and market analysis will help shape client technology roadmaps that support client satisfaction and maintain VC3’s position as a market leader in managed IT services. Department/Location Department: Business Development Employment Type: Full Time Location: Madison, Wisconsin Workplace type: Hybrid What You Will Be Doing Client Relationship Responsibility Develop an understanding of each client’s business goals, needs, challenges, interests and any compliance or regulatory requirements related to technology use. Act as the trusted advisor and consultant to the client regarding adopting our technology solutions that align with their business, and to support technology investment which advances the needs of both VC3 and the client. Lead the contract renewal process for each client assigned to you and identify opportunities to grow our service scope with those clients. Explain risks and liabilities to clients about their technology state and decisions, and document the client’s decisions to manage VC3 risk and liability when appropriate. Respond to client communications within the SA’s scope or connect the client with a more appropriate resource in a timely manner, advising on expected timelines or future meetings. Client Road Mapping/Budgeting Responsibility Gather or review feedback, audit outcomes, evaluations, alignment with standards and best practices, and other data to understand the client’s current state. Lead the development and progress of the client’s technology roadmap and IT budget. Support prioritization, management, forecasting, renewal, and delivery of VC3 solutions, and educate clients on those solutions. Support onboarding of new clients, assisting in expectation setting and relationship building with key decision makers. Client Meeting Responsibility Schedule and prepare client-facing meetings with assigned clients on a cadence set by VC3. Meetings should drive alignment to standards, report on roadmap and progress, outline next steps, and obtain client approval. Provide the business need and business outcome aspects required for internal processes to scope, estimate, and present solutions for the client. Technology Awareness Responsibility Understand VC3 technology solutions and standards, the client’s adherence or needs relating to those standards, and use internal platforms to drive ongoing alignment. Identify areas where new technology solutions are needed by clients or where other internal teams identify need. Maintain awareness of client industries to provide sound guidance on technology investment options. The Tools You Bring 10+ years of solid business experience (Technical Account Manager experience preferred). 3+ years in IT industry or technical experience; Managed Services Provider experience preferred. Experience with municipal clients/leaders is a strong asset. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Degrees, certifications or other designations in relevant technology or business education is an asset (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft MCP, IT-focused degree, ITCP).
