Guided by its original philosophy of serving its owner members and redistributing profits back to them, River Country Co-op remains a reliable and trusted resource for local communities.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Chippewa Falls, Owen or Marathon City WI, for a Safety Director. The Safety Director will oversee all safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Key responsibilities include monitoring and improving workplace safety protocols, conducting accident investigations, managing Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs, and leading safety training initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to strengthen the organization’s culture of safety in diverse workplace settings, including construction and industrial environments.QualificationsStrong understanding and expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) practices and Occupational Health standardsProficiency in conducting Accident Investigations and implementing corrective actionsExperience in developing and delivering effective Safety Training programsFamiliarity with Construction Safety protocols and regulationsStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsKnowledge of applicable safety standards and compliance requirementsBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field (preferred)Relevant certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA training are a plus
