We're looking for a Senior Technical Accountant to join our Accounting Policy & Controls team. This is a high-impact role focused on applying U.S. GAAP to complex, non-routine transactions and helping shape how the organisation approaches accounting decisions. Rather than routine accounting work, this role is centred on research, judgement, and influence across the business.
What You'll Do
Research and interpret U.S. GAAP, including areas such as revenue recognition and leases, to support complex accounting decisions
Analyse non-routine transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment
Draft and contribute to technical accounting memos and formal documentation
Partner with teams across finance, legal, tax, and the wider business to assess accounting implications of new initiatives
Act as a key contact during the external audit process, coordinating requests and supporting documentation
Support financial reporting, including disclosures and technical accounting positions
Help develop and maintain accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across the organisation
Identify control gaps and contribute to strengthening accounting processes and frameworks
What We're Looking For
CPA qualification and a degree in Accounting
57 years of experience, with at least 3 years in technical accounting, accounting policy, or financial reporting
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 606 and ASC 842
Proven experience applying accounting standards to complex or non-routine transactions
Demonstrated experience drafting or significantly contributing to technical accounting memos or formal documentation
Career progression from audit or operational accounting into technical accounting, policy, or advisory-focused work
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to exercise sound professional judgement
Confident communicator who can translate technical guidance into clear, practical recommendations
Self-starter who is comfortable working in a highly autonomous, unstructured environment

In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position: Expected salary range: US $90,000-$110,000 per year. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, location and other factors relevant to the position. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual incentive bonus, a 12% employer contribution to a 401(k) plan, and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
