Job Description: Chiropractic AssistantPosition: Chiropractic AssistantLocation: Go Lightly ChiropracticReports To: ChiropractorEmployment Type: Full Time (34 - 38 hours per week depending on rotating schedule)Position Summary:The Chiropractic Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations within the chiropractic office. This individual will be responsible for patient relations, conducting new patient exams (including taking digital X-rays), managing insurance billing, answering phones, collecting payments, and supporting various administrative and clinical tasks. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Greet and assist patients in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner, creating a welcoming environmentConduct new patient exams, including taking, processing, and properly documenting digital X-raysManage insurance verification, billing, and follow-up on claims to ensure timely paymentsContact insurance companies to verify patient coverage and benefitsWork through claims, including submitting, tracking, and addressing denied or delayed claimsStay current with insurance company policies and updates to identify changes in coverage, billing codes, and reimbursement processesCommunicate insurance information effectively to patients, explaining coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costsAnswer incoming calls promptly, schedule appointments accurately, and manage the office calendar efficientlyCollect payments, process transactions, issue receipts, and maintain accurate financial recordsMaintain patient records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulationsAccurately use the electronic health records (EHR) system to document patient information, treatment plans, and billing detailsSupport the chiropractor with clinical tasks, including preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and monitoring patient comfortEducate patients on chiropractic procedures, treatment plans, and wellness recommendationsEnsure the office environment is clean, organized, and conducive to patient carePerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare or administrative training is a plusPrior experience in a healthcare or chiropractic setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitudeProficient in using office software, electronic health records (EHR), and digital X-ray equipmentDetail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilitiesAbility to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsiblyCertification in radiologic technology (if required by state regulations)Working Conditions:Fast-paced, patient-focused environment requiring flexibility and adaptabilityMay require standing for extended periods, occasional lifting of equipment or supplies, and assisting patients with mobility needsWork ScheduleStandard Hours:Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMWednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMThursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMFriday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PMTuesday Rotation:Chiropractic Assistants (CAs) will rotate shifts on Tuesdays:Week A: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PMWeek B: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMThis alternating schedule repeats weeklyLunch Break:A 1-hour unpaid lunch break is included in the full-day shiftsPowered by JazzHRsZbcIYzvK9
