This position is a great opportunity for Medical Assistants who are looking for a challenging new career working in outpatient mental health. In this position, you will work closely with the mental health providers in a team approach setting.What You'll DoTaking medical/psychiatric historyAnswering patient questionsOperating TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) device for depression/OCD treatments (will provide training to the right candidate)Checking vital signsAssisting the providers with ketamine therapy appointmentsScheduling patient appointmentsAnswering phones, scheduling appointments, and other patient communicationsInstructing patients about medication, treatment plan, and other instructionsTransmitting prescription refills as directedInsurance prior authorizationsOpportunity to advance your skills -- Learn innovative & exciting new therapeutic modalities such as TMS and Ketamine therapy.QualificationsCurrent MA, CPR & BLS Certification requiredExperience with TMSProven working experience as a medical assistant preferredKnowledge of medical office management systems and proceduresExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workSocial perceptiveness and service orientedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skillsProficiency in MS Office and patient management softwarePhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift 15 pounds at timesMust be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilitiesAt Stella Mental Health, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential values that enrich our work environment and enhance our ability to serve diverse communities.
