JOB OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Manager of Employee Relations & HRIS, this role performs a variety of administrative, technical, and support functions across employee relations, recruitment, employee engagement, and HR operations. This role provides day-to-day support to employees and managers, assists with HR processes and programs, and helps ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with policies and procedures.

JOB DUTIES
Supports employee relations activities by gathering information and escalating issues as appropriate.
Arranges employee engagement activities such as service awards, appreciation events, charitable campaigns, and community outreach efforts.
Assists in organizing employee events and company-sponsored activities
Promotes employee programs including discounts, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
Supports recruitment activities including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and assisting with applicant tracking.
Coordinate pre-employment processes such as reference checks and scheduling physicals.
Assists with new employee orientation.
Participation in job fairs and recruitment events as needed.
Maintains accurate and confidential employee records for active and former employees.
Processes routine employee transactions such as hires, terminations, transfers, and status changes.
Assists with data entry into HRIS.
Prepare routine reports and assists with HR documentation and correspondence.
Ensures compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
Responds to employees and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Provides general information and directs complex issues to appropriate HR management.
Maintains a basic understanding of employee benefits and HR programs to assist employees
Assists with HR projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
Coordinates employee recognition efforts such as service milestones and acknowledgments.

Basic knowledge of human resources principles and practices Strong organizational and administrative skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at all levels Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
Experience
1-3 years Experience in employee relations or human resources Required
Experience in employee relations, administrative HR support, or customer service Preferred
Experience supporting events or employee engagement activities Preferred
Education
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
Licenses & Certifications
TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential Required Upon Hire
Driver's License - Valid state driver's license Required Upon Hire
