Project Procurement Manager

Brunel Energy is recruiting a Project Procurement Manager to work with a major oil and gas company on a 12-month contract in Spring, TX.Responsibilities:Support development and documentation of Purchasing sections with the project team.Leads, or advises on, implementation planning and initiation of project specific processes and practices for purchasing, expediting, inspection, logistics, and importation activitiesDevelops and implements Surplus Disposition Plan for any company’s owned surplus/scrap, engaging Investment Recovery group as necessaryEnsures proper execution of Preservation PlanEnsures timely handover of special tools, capital, and 2 year operating spares and any equipment first fill requirementsReviews, endorses and oversees implementation of plans, procedures and processesReviews purchase orders and/or purchase order template to ensure proper flow down of prime contractsOversees, or advises on, interfaces associated with execution of all areas of activities in compliance with all project requirementsCommunicates to project team and leadership on activities, progress and issues including timely schedule and cost status and impactsQualifications:8+ years of experience in Project Procurement/Materials Management.Preferred experience in capital projects procurement at an EPC contractor and/or operating company.Strong understanding of procurement principles and commercial practices.BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or Supply Chain Management preferred.Broad understanding of project execution and materials management principles, theories, and concepts.Willingness to travel for business or relocate to project sites (domestic and overseas).Management experience on major projects preferred.
