The successful candidate will manage departmental operations, set goals and standards, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical requirements. They will also foster an environment that encourages professional growth and integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards. Direct and evaluate departmental operations to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, evaluating, and disciplinary actions. Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Act as the "Managing Pharmacist" upon obtaining NV licensure. Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols. Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth. Manage patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management. Coordinate and direct internal/external audits. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy required; Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred. Experience: At least three years of pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital or acute care setting. Licenses/Certifications: Current Nevada Pharmacist License within three months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association within six months of hire. FEMA IS-100.C and FEMA IS-200.C certificates within three months upon hire, renewed every three years. Handle with Care training within 30 days of hire. Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and the ability to work in a stressful environment.
