DirectorPosition Start Date: ASAPRequired Certification: noneApplication Deadline: Open until filledPart-time, generally 4-8 PM, Tues & Thurs, when classes are in session, 4-6hours a week, Sept.-June, in the Kittery Adult and Community Education office.Provide both one on one and small group instruction to English as a SecondLanguage students as well as Adult Basic Education students. Instructor teaches diverse adultlearners across beginning and intermediate proficiency levels. The position involves primarilyevening hours.Lead engaging and effective English classes (reading, writing, speaking,and listening) for students at various proficiency levels.Adapt and deliver multi-level curriculum tailored to student needs andprogram goals (e.g., general English, academic preparation, business English).Evaluate student progress through regular testing, assignments, andparticipation, providing constructive feedback.Foster a supportive, interactive, and culturally sensitive learningenvironment.Work collaboratively with volunteers and the academic team oncurriculum refinement and professional development.Bachelor's degree and commitment to serving a diverse population.Preferred: Teaching experience; experience with diverse populations.Excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in using instructional technology and online learningplatformsMust be available for scheduled evening hours.Candidates must submit to a Criminal History Record Check through the Maine Department of Education.Required Application Materials:Completed Applitrack ApplicationResumeCover LetterTranscriptsA copy of current certification (if applicable)3 current letters of referenceKittery Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
