Hexagon Technical Consultant
Role PurposeWe require a Hexagon Technical Consultant to support the implementation of a new Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS). The consultant will provide hands-on technical delivery while also acting as a subject matter expert (SME) , offering guidance, best practices, and technical recommendations to support solution quality and long-term sustainability.The role operates under the direction of the Technical Lead/Architect but is expected to influence decisions through expertise , not formal ownership.Scope of Services / Responsibilities1. System Configuration & Technical DeliveryConfigure Hexagon EAMS modules (assets, work management, maintenance, inventory, etc.).Develop required customizations, workflows, and extensions.Ensure configurations align with defined architecture and best practices.2. Expert Advisory (SME Contribution)Provide expert guidance on Hexagon EAM capabilities, limitations, and best practices .Advise on optimal approaches for:Asset structures and hierarchiesMaintenance strategies (preventive/predictive)System configuration vs customization decisionsIdentify risks, inefficiencies, or design gaps and recommend improvements.3. Integration Development & GuidanceImplement integrations with external systems (ERP, GIS, SCADA, etc.).Advise on integration patterns, performance considerations, and error handling.Support troubleshooting and optimization of interfaces.4. Data Migration Support & AdvisoryExecute data migration tasks (mapping, transformation, validation).Provide guidance on:Data structures and standardsData cleansing strategiesAsset data quality and governanceHighlight risks related to poor data quality or structure.5. Testing & Quality AssuranceExecute unit and system testing.Support integration and UAT cycles.Provide input on test coverage, edge cases, and quality improvements.6. Performance & Optimization InputSupport performance tuning activities.Identify potential bottlenecks and recommend improvements.Advise on scalability and maintainability of configurations and customizations.7. Documentation & Knowledge SharingProduce and maintain technical documentation.Contribute to knowledge transfer sessions.Provide practical guidance to client teams on system usage and support.8.
