Family Practice or Internal Medicine Opportunity in Guthrie County, Iowa This Family Medicine or Internal Medicine role offers a 4-day workweek, low inpatient census, and strong clinical support so you can focus on patient care. Practice Overview You’ll join a county-supported critical access hospital and rural health clinic network with specialty clinic access (cardiology, ortho, urology, behavioral health, and more) Outpatient primary care with light inpatient rounding; typical inpatient census averages 3-5 patients Strong support team (RNs, LPNs, CMAs) plus advanced practice providers who practice independently with minimal physician oversight In-office procedures available (biopsies, laceration repair, toenail removal) with Epic EMR and on-site basic labs Schedule 4-day workweek 15-18 patients/day Call is 1:4 weeks, phone only low census Compensation & Benefits Base salary of $275,000 plus Guaranteed for the life of the contract no production $70,000 sign-on bonus $25,000 "choose your perk" option (e.g., home down payment or property tax offset) 27 days PTO 5 CME days and $5,000 CME allowance Malpractice with tail coverage Relocation assistance IPERS retirement Student loan support options Mentorship available Candidate Requirements MD/DO; Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Board Certified (experienced physicians) or Board Eligible (new graduates); 2026-2027 grads are welcome Community & Location Highlights Suburbs of Des Moines, IA.
