Position Type:Paraprofessional/InstructionalDate Posted:5/4/2026Location:Finley-Oates ElementaryElementary TSS (Transitioning Students for Success) Instructional ParaprofessionalPosition Purpose- Under the supervision of a certified staff member, to assist teachers with instructional and behavioral needs of students in the education setting.- Assist in implementation of classroom programs.- Provide small group instruction.Essential Job Functions- Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.- Assists in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.- Assists with record-keeping procedures to document student learning, performance and behavioral interventions.- Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty and other related non-instructional areas.- Accompanies students on field trips for the purpose of assisting with supervision.Qualifications Profile- Bachelor's Degree OR- Associate's Degree OR- 48 College Hours OR- Passing score on all sections of THEA, COMPASS or TSIEmployment Dates:Begin August 3, 2026Salary:See BISD Compensation PlanBISD provides a $10,000 Life Insurance Policy for employeeBISD pays $325.00 towards a medical premium for employeeBISD pays Telehealth premium for employee
