Full Stack Developer

*Job Summary* We are currently seeking a motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused *Full Stack Developer* to join our team supporting this contract. The Full Stack Developer will support the development of both front-end (JavaScript/React) and back-end (Java/Spring) applications using DevSecOps best practices. The team will be responsible for operations and maintenance activities, as well as standardizing complex, large-scale, internet-facing websites and IT systems within an AWS cloud environment. Utilizing forward-thinking, modern, open-source technologies and managed cloud services, the project emphasizes strong customer engagement to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. *Duties* * Design, build, and maintain enterprise Java/JEE backend services using Spring and Spring Boot for one or more USCIS applications * Develop and maintain front-end applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React, consuming JSON-based APIs * Containerize and deploy services using Docker, and manage orchestration with Kubernetes and Helm charts * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Harness, Jenkins) to automate testing, security scanning, and deployment in a DevSecOps environment * Design and support applications running in enterprise-scale AWS environments * Write and execute automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium, Artillery, Insomnia, TDD, and BDD * Modify and enhance reports, including queries, filters, and input parameters * Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into high-quality, secure solutions * Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, and communicate progress and blockers clearly * Debug and resolve issues in existing code to ensure smooth, secure application operation * Perform code reviews to uphold code quality, coverage, and coding standards * Collaborate with QA to identify, triage, and resolve defects * Monitor application performance in production and implement improvements *Requirements* * *Bachelor’s degree* in business, IT, or any related field * *5+ years* of relevant work experience supporting complex projects Strong knowledge and experience in: * *Java / JEE* enterprise application development * *Spring Framework and Spring Boot* * *Containerization and orchestration*: Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts * Building enterprise-scale applications in *AWS cloud* environments * *CI/CD pipeline* experience with at least one DevSecOps automation tool such as Jenkins or Harness * *JavaScript* / TypeScript * *React* and related front-end libraries * *SQL* * Designing and consuming JSON APIs * Automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Artillery, Insomnia, TDD, and BDD * Agile software development methodologies and tools * Self-starter with the ability to seek clarification when necessary and identify personal training needs * Proven ability to communicate progress and identify blockers during scrum ceremonies * Ability to understand business requirements *Preferred* * PostgreSQL * Git / GitHub * Experience with microservices architecture and large-scale distributed systems * Splunk * Jasper Reports (including testing across multiple environments) * Amazon Aurora * Amazon Redshift * Apache Tomcat * AWS ECS * AWS S3 * Rancher * VS Code * Knowledge of SAFe Pay: $115,449.49 - $139,035.94 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * AD&D insurance * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid holidays * Paid time off * Prescription drug insurance * Vision insurance * Work from home Application Question(s): * The client requires US Citizenship for the Public Trust process.
