The Construction Manager - Telecom/Security Systems will manage the telecom/security systems electrical team and information from start to finish for large hi-tech projects. The Telecom/Security Systems Construction Manager will collaborate with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and craftspeople to address complex electrical coordination issues. This position is on the front line to aid in avoiding and solving technical problems that arise. The Telecom/Security Systems Construction Manager will lead onsite electrical quality control efforts, which will include document review during preconstruction through commissioning and punch list. This position will be fully onsite at the project location in Childress, TX.SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $150,000 DOE + 12% geo-uplift, per diem & inctentivesEssential Responsibilities:Oversee Telecom/Security Systems electrical subcontractors and vendors installation work daily to insure they are maintaining their installation schedule, support system startup and commissioning activities.Interpretation of construction documents, control sequences and technical manuals.Run startup meetings involving Area Construction Managers, Design Team members, multiple subcontractors, local utility agencies and owners to coordinate/ drive MEP system starts up activitiesInterface between Area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to assist in coordinating mechanical/electrical startupsVerify all documentation is complete and equipment being prepared for startup is construction complete and can be safely startedCoordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements within the overall project designOrganize and facilitate training of Owner's personnel in the operations and maintenance of MEP systemsReview and process project submittal information and coordinate between multiple submittals to ensure the accuracy and functionality of each component of the various MEP systemsReceiving and distributing requests for information (RFI) and change documents issued by other team membersOrganization, ensure completion and filing of record documentsField surveying layout of control lines and benchmarksInformation storage and retrieval using a computer and other handheld electronic hardware.Technical advisor at onsite field construction officeMust be able to access all areas and levels of construction site for work progress reviewWork schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequencesAssist in estimating low voltage electrical budgetsSecure low voltage electrical subcontractor and equipment buyoutManage low voltage electrical subcontractor contracts and contract modificationsOversee billing and schedule of values for low voltage electrical subcontractors and vendorsAssist with managing low voltage electrical team project staffingWrite and publish meeting minutes, schedule graphs and activity checklistsProvide clear communication verbally, written and electronicallyQualifications:Professional Experience and Education:Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all aspects of Telecom/Security Systems electrical constructionBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or field work experienceEducation background in materials and methods of constructionA minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experienceSpecific experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor types of projectsLEED Accredited Professional, or the ability to become accredited within 18 months preferredExperience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method; familiar with CSI specification system for constructionAbility to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation.
