R&D Test Lab Engineer I
As an R&D Test Lab Engineer, you will apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad area of design assignments. While working under the general supervision of an engineering manager, you'll have significant freedom to drive projects independently. A degree of creativity and latitude is encouraged and expected. You should be familiar with a variety of mechanical engineering concepts, practices, and procedures and have a strong grasp of good design principles. Experience with electromechanical devices is a plus but not required.Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvides technical input/support relating to new product test methods.Aids in system and product reliability testing by confirming methods and procedures as well as designing required tooling.Reviews test specifications, procedures, and process instructions. Maintain test equipment configurations and standardization.Authors and or assists in the creation of new test methods and protocols.Determines test methods, retrieve, and analyze data.Provide technical as well as work direction to departmental employees.Work with design, manufacturing, and quality engineers, to generate new test methods and protocols, or to modify existing ones.Develop fixturing/instrumentation to execute tests.Coordinate the requisition of appropriate test equipment as needed.Set up and execute testing as needed.Additional duties as required.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a STEM related field and no prior experience OR no degree and 2+ years of experience in a lab or regulated industryThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.BenefitsCONMED offers a wide array of benefits to fit your unique needs.
