Pipefitter

Seeking experienced and motivated *Pipe Fitters* to join our growing ship repair and marine services team. The Pipe Fitter is responsible for the fabrication, installation, repair, and modification of piping systems aboard vessels and within shipyard facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with marine piping systems, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, sketches, and work specifications.
* Measure, cut, bevel, thread, bend, and fit pipes according to project requirements.
* Install, repair, and replace marine piping systems, including:
* Hydraulic systems
* Fuel systems
* Lube oil systems
* Firemain systems
* Potable water systems
* Compressed air systems
* Bilge and ballast systems
* Fabricate pipe assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
* Install valves, flanges, fittings, hangers, supports, and related components.
* Perform pipe alignment and fit-up for welding operations.
* Conduct hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing as required.
* Remove and replace damaged piping and associated equipment.
* Maintain accurate work records and comply with quality control requirements.
* Follow all company, customer, OSHA, and shipyard safety regulations.
* Work effectively with welders, supervisors, inspectors, and other trades.
*Required Qualifications*
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
* Minimum of 2 *years of pipe fitting experience* in ship repair, shipbuilding, industrial construction, or a related field.
* Ability to read and understand blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
* Proficient in the use of measuring instruments and pipe fitting tools.
* Knowledge of marine piping systems and industry standards.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain shipyard access credentials.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience with U.S. Navy, commercial vessel, or offshore marine projects.
* Familiarity with ABS, Coast Guard, or military specifications.
* OSHA 10
* Current TWIC card.
*Physical Requirements*
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work in confined spaces, tanks, voids, and elevated locations.
* Ability to climb ladders, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
