Tool Room Manager

Position SummaryThis position provides Tooling and Rapid Process Machining support to Aerospace and Industrial plants within the NVH Division. This role requires collaboration with NVH plants to meet customer needs while managing through development projects, NPI initiatives, and production-down situations.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the NVH Division. Drive a consistent safety focus on improvements and daily tasks.Ensure all quality procedures are followed to meet customer requirements.Ensure on time delivery of plant and NPI projects Manage priorities through communication and understanding of business requirements.Promote engaged continuous improvement through PLS and the Team Improvement Board.Develop formal costs and timing quotes to produce tooling and parts.Manage the Tooling and RPM portfolio.Develop long-term strategies to improve efficiency and utilization of key resources.Maintain a continuous learning environment to maintain subject matter expertise as a competitive advantage.Develop and manage Capital projects, ensuring return on investments.Develop collaborative team goals.Manage consumable tooling costs through agreements and relationships with key suppliers.Collaborate with human resources, plant leadership and union leadership to operate collaboratively within the Collective Bargaining Agreement.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree with a strong mechanical aptitude and process knowledge, Engineering, Manufacturing, similar technical discipline or Master’s degree preferred5 years of relevant/similar work experience within a manufacturing environment- tool room, machining, or tool design preferredExperience collaborating with cross-functional teamsLeading teams and/or complex projects, direct leadership experience preferredCompetenciesRequired-Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performance teams.Strong and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and planning skills with demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects/initiatives.Ability to adapt within a fast-paced production environment.Demonstrated ability to lead through change. Effective conflict management and resolution skills.Knowledge of internal and external industry specifications.
