Inventory Control Manager

Our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction has positioned us as a trusted partner in the hydraulic industry. *Job Overview: *The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the efficient flow of material throughout the warehouse. This position owns the receiving, put away, inventory control, cycle counting, and stock replenishment processes while actively participating in daily warehouse operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for protecting inventory accuracy, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring products are available when needed to meet customer demand. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* *Inventory Control* * Own inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse. * Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. * Perform inventory adjustments with proper documentation and approvals. * Maintain inventory organization, labeling, and bin accuracy. * Monitor inventory health and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency. * Support inventory audits and year-end physical inventories. *Receiving & Put Away* * Oversee all inbound receiving activities. * Verify incoming shipments for quantity, damage, and accuracy. * Ensure received inventory is properly identified and entered into the ERP system. * Coordinate timely put away into designated storage locations. * Maintain proper storage practices where applicable. *Cycle Counting* * Own the facility cycle count program. * Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count schedules. * Analyze count variances and determine root causes. * Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring inventory issues. * Report inventory accuracy metrics to leadership. *Warehouse Operations* * Assist with picking, stocking, replenishment, and material movement as needed. * Ensure inventory is available to support shipping and fabrication operations. * Support warehouse organization and 5S initiatives. * Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. *Process Improvement* * Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and warehouse efficiency. * Assist with ERP improvements and inventory-related system enhancements. * Help develop and maintain inventory SOPs, work instructions, and training materials. * Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations. *Leadership Expectations* * Take ownership of inventory accuracy across the facility. * Lead by example through hands-on involvement. * Build strong working relationships across departments. * Promote accountability, organization, and attention to detail. * Communicate inventory concerns proactively before they impact customers. * Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. *Note:* The responsibilities and qualifications outlined above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
