Sr Veterinary Services Compliance Manager
Job DescriptionOur OpportunityChewy is looking for a Sr Veterinary Services Compliance Manager to join our Legal, Risk and Corporate Responsibility Team! This position is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a fast-paced, dynamic Legal and Compliance Department supporting business opportunities and regulatory compliance issues in connection with veterinary services. This role operates as an independent compliance leader responsible for executing complex, multi-site veterinary compliance programs while influencing cross-functional partners to enable safe and scalable growth. This position will report to the Associate Director, Veterinary Services Compliance.What You'll DoProvide direction and expertise in the planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of compliance issues related to veterinary services at Chewy.Support regulatory training, account set up and monitor controlled substance handling at Chewy Vet Care locations.Coordinate with legal counsel to identify and assess laws, rules, regulations, and guidance, as set forth by the applicable government agencies and industry standards to assist the business with building and maintaining compliant operations.Facilitate, coordinate, or conduct assessments and audits to identify areas of risk in the veterinary service area and draft standard operating procedures and process improvement plans to address potential concerns.Assist veterinary services teams in establishing processes and procedures; overseeing training; and conducting ongoing compliance education.Assist veterinary services teams in implementing appropriate business operations in response to regulatory requirements and changes within the veterinary industry.Form and maintain relationships with outside vendors targeting compliance related veterinary services. Investigate and implement new products that will help our veterinary teams.What You’ll Need5+ years with multi-jurisdictional veterinary services experience within a corporate structure.Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing and scaling programs within a corporate structure.10+ years clinical experience in veterinary hospitalStrong ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgement in ambiguous or evolving regulatory environments.Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive adoption of compliance initiatives.The ability to move quickly; intellectually curious and willingness to learn new areas of business and experience.Field position with up to 50% travel required.BonusLicensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)Experience with Controlled Substance Compliance in the Veterinary setting.The base salary range for this role is $129,500 - $207,000.00.The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
