This is a long-term contract opportunity with probable extensions and possible hire. NOTE: This position requires US Citizenship. Seeking local candidates only SUMMARY The Technology Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting hardware, systems software, and applications software portfolio, including maintenance of data dictionaries, equipment and software installation and upgrades, data conversions, system utilities and change control as well as coordinating problem resolution and referrals to other support areas. RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and troubleshoot defective equipment. Identify and troubleshoot software and application issues. Determine and resolve hardware issues prior to deployment. Possess network room knowledge and experience. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in computer science and 1 year of experience. Associate degree with 2+ years of job related experience or High School Diploma with 4+ years of job related experience. General Understanding of the ITIL Framework. Experience with Network Operating Systems is a plus. Computer Technical Certification is a plus in the following MOS, MTA, MCP, A+ OR MCITP. Excellent customer service skill. Excellent organization skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task while taking phone calls in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated. Must work on-site in Frankfort, KY 08:00am – 5:00pm M-F.
