Nursing Home/Assisted Living Volunteer Visitors Needed!

Gentiva Hospice is always looking for dedicated volunteers to provide companionship and emotional support to patients with life limiting conditions and their caregivers. Our patient reside in nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the Dyer County area. How you serve and how often is completely up to you! Here are a few examples of how our facility volunteers serve:Engaging with our facility based hospice patients through any of the following:Provide companionship and emotional supportProvide a listening earEncourage them to share life experiencesPlay games (card, board games, etc.)Watching TV with themRead to themSing/play an instrument with themNO medical experience is needed as volunteers DO NOT perform nursing duties or dispense medication.
