ACLS/BLS Required...1yr experience required...The TAVR Nurse Navigator works in an administrative and clinical capacity with collaborating physicians, clinical staff, patients and their families, insurance companies, and vendors, in the planning, evaluation, and coordination of care for our Structural Heart patients across the entire continuum of care...Duties including but not limited to, preprocedural / post-procedural care in the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings. Ensuring effective communication with all parties, delivering superior patient care and experience. Coordinates overall clinical program and ensures processes are in place to ensure smooth operation and patient flow for Structural Heart patients.Coordinates the clinical interdisciplinary team and services for pre-procedural evaluation prior to heart valve surgery; including but not limited to Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)...Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to present professional-based presentations, meetings, and communication skills....Oversees Pre-Admission Testing for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) patients, as well as patients undergoing open-heart surgery....Abstracts and submits clinical data on TAVR patients to the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR)._x000B_ Conducts a comprehensive review of previous TAVR cases involving severe mitral or tricuspid regurgitation (MR/TR) to identify potential candidates for additional transcatheter valve procedures, thereby contributing to increased procedural volume._x000B_Facilitates a multidisciplinary working group aimed at achieving American College of Cardiology (Client) Certification....Supports long-term goals of the working group, including the development of a dedicated Valve Clinic._x000B_ Serves as the liaison between Rutgers University and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJ) to resolve issues related to diagnostic testing._x000B_ Provides education and mentorship to two new Cardiac Research Assistants, contributing to the expansion of the institution s Transcatheter Valve (TCV) Research Program....
